The Waivlength team members each bring their own experience and industry knowledge of marketing & innovation, accounting & audit, and healthcare & entrepreneurship together to turn this project from an idea to a reality. The varying viewpoints resulting from their different career paths ensure every point of discussion is reviewed from all sides before coming to a conclusion. Something the team values very highly when it comes to designing a social space.​

Niall O'Reilly

CEO/Founder

Niall is a qualified chartered accountant having recently finished his contract in KPMG, one of the leading accountancy and professional service firms worldwide. After completing an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience in University College Dublin, Niall enrolled in a postgraduate programme with KPMG to bring him into the business world.

Niall specialized in financial statement audit and has worked closely with the top aircraft leasing companies globally including GECAS, Goshawk, Orix Aviation Systems, Nordic Aviation Capital and several ABS vehicles.

Niall has concluded his time in KPMG to pursue Waivlength full time. His strong drive and ambition for success has fueled this decision and having the full focus of someone as dynamic and charismatic as Niall on the Waivlength project will greatly bolster its advancement.​

Niall Lyons

CTO

Niall wrote his first line of C code at the age of 8 and hasn't looked back since. He has BSc degree in Computer Science and holds a MEng in Machine Learning from Dublin City University. He was the Pat McMahon, San Jose-Dublin Sister City scholar in 2019/20, a prestigious award, given to one student in Ireland who excels academically in the field of computer science.

He has worked as a software engineer in multiple companies across Ireland. Academic success has opened many avenues, including a wealth of experience working in Silicon Valley as a machine learning engineer and also as a technical consultant across different start up areas.

His main area of interest is in machine learning, having worked on many large scale industrial and academic projects spanned across a prolonged period. Another major interest of his is to securely develop a best in class decentralized network to revolutionize social, how it is used and also making blockchain technology mainstream. With him, he brings a wealth of knowledge, having built a medical decentralized platform to securely analyze and store medical data in the past.

He is a computational thinker who is not afraid to challenge current technology and delve into the realms of Blockchain Technologies, Cryptocurrency, NFT’s and in particular the Metaverse.

Fiachra Ward

COO

Fiachra is a qualified physiotherapist and business owner in Ireland – The Physio Ward. He graduated from University College Dublin in 2016 and completed a graduate program in the Sports Surgery Clinic – Ireland’s #1 Private Orthopedic Hospital. He has also worked in elite Irish sport with Meath GAA footballers.

With constant advancements in the medical, health and fitness field, Fiachra prides himself on staying in touch with new findings and research. His skillset makes for a great recipe to guide policy and implement effective strategies to maintain the authenticity of a new social platform.

Fiachra’s passion for the project is driven from a desire to bring about positive change in the social space. His entrepreneurial spirit also sees the huge gap in the market for development in this field.​

Caolán Ward

CMO

Caolán is currently studying marketing, innovation and technology in Dublin City University, a course founded by innovation guru Peter Robbins. Caolán is a real self-starter and pursues his interests diligently, using the COVID induced national lockdowns to self-learn Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. He took part in the XPRIZE Next-Gen COVID mask competition and reached the final 5 teams out of 1000 in late 2020 and has since had a strong hand in organizing Dublin City University’s first ever virtual 5-day Hackathon – DCUHack4Change.

Caolán brings an element of creativity to the Waivlength project communications and will be to the fore of community engagement and interaction. His desire to bring this platform into reality is founded from a frustration with current social platforms, and a strong belief that a much better alternative can be found.

Caolán's input doesn't end there though. As a digital native, and he will have a key role to play in designing the UI of the Waivlength platform.

Anurag Chaudhuri

Lead Blockchain Engineer

Anurag or Andy is a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer and Blockchain Engineer holding a MEng in Software Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. For his work as an Independent Consultant, Andy has received several prestigious awards featuring alongside leading technology companies like Amazon AWS, Microsoft, IBM, Accenture, Rackspace, and Oracle.

Andy is the perfect candidate under which we can build a team of blockchain/machine learning engineers, he’ll be hands-on with the planning and implementation of the platform’s on-chain development and in time will guide a team to continue and expand on this work.

His consultancy work is run through his own company - White Code Labs, where he is the founder and sole developer. His work largely consists of managing and leading large-scale projects which has seen him move between blockchain and traditional software engineering roles. These include developing/maintaining platforms for Snap Inc.(Snapchat), designing, developing and optimising smart contract code at Labrys, and developing/maintaining mobile applications and websites for Usablenet’s top clients including Coca Cola, Fed-Ex, Chanel, Dior and American Airlines.

Andy moved into the blockchain industry in 2017 and has executed wide range of major projects for blockchain companies and financial organizations, including; Coinbase, Circle, Mainframe, Coinme, Chainanlysis, Paxos, Vault12, Steem, Santander Bank, and CommonWealth Bank.

Andy has all the tools to lead a team of engineers in this project; He is a hands-on developer himself with invaluable experience with blockchain engineering, he has a keen interest in Web 3.0 applications, he aligns himself with our core values, and loves the idea of a verified social space, something that Waivlength is pioneering.

Jordan Jones

Frontend Blockchain Engineer

Jordan is a Senior Mobile Engineer with 9 years of practical experience. He has a BSc degree in Computer Science from Nanyang Technological University.

He has worked as a software engineer in multiple companies across the US. His main focus industry is health care, finance, and blockchain. He is always thinking about the future of technology, learning the trending technologies, and building his skillset.

Simon Cocking

Shane Kehoe

Shane is a Co-Founder at SVK Crypto VC, London. Shane oversees the fund which invests in the most promising and early stage blockchain technology projects with investments along side KleinerPerkins, Google Ventures, Galaxy Digital, Vulcan Capital, Fidelity, Block.One and Alibaba.

An experienced portfolio manager with more than 20 years investment and hedge fund management experience.

Shane was formerly a hedge fund manager and partner at BlueCrest Capital Management ($35bn AUM) and ran their global equity capital markets business focusing on all global IPO's for the European Equity Long/Short and Emerging Markets fund.
